The Mesa Boogie Rectifiers particularly the earlier ones have always had a problem. Change channel and hear that awful 'pop' noise. You might be OK with that live but in some situations its a mess and can cause problems to audio recordings. But not Alex (a friend) from 'Tubes and Stuff' has a MIDI board that can be fitted that can near enough completely cure that problem

I took my Mesa Boogie Recto (in my case a triple rectifier probably from around 2010 or a bit earlier) and show you how I fit the kit in to my amp and the general results I achieved with this great kit.
While there are other answers to this popping this I have found to eliminate it almost completely - in fact the switches make more noise!
So it's worth taking a look to see the results I achieved. If you don't have the ability to fit this board then just don't! It can be very dangerous if you are not qualified, and a decent amp tech can fit one in no time!
