The Dreivoost is an all-tube boost running at 300vDC using a standard 9vDC center negative power supply. It has one standard gain stage plus a cathode follower for clean, low impedance buffered output. Like an amplifier, it requires an on/off switch and also has a switch for Treble/Full range EQ. It’s simple, dead quiet, and can throw a TON of gain at your amp.

With the control off, it passes your signal just above unity. From 0-5 is a clean boost, and from 5-10 the gain ramps up considerably and starts compressing a bit. Think of it as a tube version of what people use a Tube Screamer for with high gain amps. It can also be used just to warm up your tone going into a DAW or solid-state amp as well.
