Some love them and some hate them. But if you play rock guitar the Fender Gen4 N4 pickups could be the best in the world for what you play. I made the guitar a while back and fitted Seymour Duncan 'Antiquity' pickups (they claimed Texas hot) but somehow those simply did not cut the mustard so to speak.
So what is a guy to do? Well, I had reviewed and owned a Fender Elite Stratocaster a while ago and was particularly impressed with the Gen4 noiseless pickups on that guitar. So I bit the bullet and bought some for fitting to the Strat. Problems abound when you try and fit to a rear routed guitar but I eventually overcame those and I show what I did.
But if you have a regular pick guard strat then fitting is simple and I can recommend it. I do play the guitar at the end so you can hear the guitar pickups in action on rock music.
