On this week's episode of Stompbox Saturday we take a look at the strangely addictive MXR Blue Box.
One of the original four pedals released by MXR, the Blue Box is one of the gnarliest octave fuzz pedals around. From a smooth fuzz tone to a earth-shaking sub octave bombardment...this is the pedal made famous by Jimmy Page on Led Zeppelin's "Fool in the Rain".
We'll check out the normal tones and some of the wacky "8-bit" video game type sounds this pedal can produce. You'll also get an idea of how much I love the color blue...
