Hey there Carr amps fans!
We're demoing the Mercury V with some great sounding cab sims while having the attenuator set to 0 watts!
All sounds are hear were recorded direct using the Merc V's line out into a Fractal Audio AX8 providing the cab sims and into a Focusrite 2i2(2nd gen) interface. The speaker was providing load to amp but was no sound was coming through at all!!
These sounds were made using stock cab sims that come loaded on the AX8!! We were shocked at how easy it was to get a great sound that holds up in a mix. There is no processing on the guitar tracks besides some parallel compression.
Full band mix and then we show the individual guitar tracks with the exact signal path we used including which cab sims you're hearing.
The full signal path was:
Fernandes Ravelle (Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge)
Input of the AX8
AX8 FX send to input of Merc V
Line out to AX8 FX return
AX8 main out to Interface
You can simply this be having the cabs on your computer and then you only need two cables!
