This Martin D-18 Authentic 1939 VTS has that classic rich tone and and big projection.

Its solid Adirondack spruce top and mahogany back and sides provide the foundation for stunning sound, and the Martin D-18 Authentic 1939 acoustic guitar will only sound better as it ages. However, it sounds great out of the box. Part of the reason is because of the VTS (Vintage Tone System) which heat treats or torrifies the top, essentially aging the wood in the process. You've never heard a louder, sweeter, more focused sounding Martin. Mahogany has an articulate, focused sound that compliments the human voice wonderfully. It also records immaculately. Your favorite condenser aimed where the neck and body join, is all you need to capture it's tone. The VTS process is a new introduction from Martin but it is surely here to stay. The few instruments we have seen with the treatment have come and gone rather quickly.
