SFT by Catalinbread Howard plays '70s Stones tones into a clean Fender Deluxe Reverb.
The 70s Stones tone is quite an allusive sound that too many folks have confused with fuzz for nearly 40 years. You can get it with a nice set of PAFs (Wolftone Dr Vintage) as in this 1966 Gibson SG. Then plugged into an Ampeg setup correctly... OR an SFT!! It's all about feeling connected to the power amp section, big solid lowend, crisp attack treble, and AMAZING cleanup qualities. The very end of this video has a bit of a teaser as to how dynamic it is - the pedal is still on Howard just hits the strings softly before concluding the take.
Howard did the take in one shot. In that spirit we approached the A/V production.
