This video covers all the details regarding the V2.0.0 update for Ampero II Stomp.
Don't freak out if you encounter problems during the upgrade! Check out this info real quick!
To all Ampero II Stomp users: This update is a big one, packed with loads of new features. Due to these additions, there's been a bunch of new stuff added to the data in the presets. So, after you upgrade the firmware, the presets need to undergo some data conversion. We've included an automatic conversion feature after the upgrade, but if you're experiencing crashes now, it might be because the data conversion didn't go as planned.
If you run into crashes after the upgrade, here's what you can do to get your effects pedal back to normal:
1. Power off the pedal, then simultaneously hold down the MENU/VALUE knob and the 2nd and 3rd footswitches before turning the power back on. This should force the pedal into forced firmware upgrade mode.
2. Connect the pedal to your computer, fire up the Ampero II Stomp V1.3.0 software. The software should automatically show a firmware update button. Click it, choose the Ampero II Stomp V1.3.0 firmware (you can download it from our website), and confirm to roll back the firmware.
3. After successfully rolling back, use the Ampero II Stomp V1.3.0 software again to export and save your presets to a suitable location on your computer.
4. Reset the pedal to factory settings, then use the Ampero II Stomp V1.3.0 software to upgrade to V2.0.0 firmware following the normal steps.
5. Once you've upgraded to V2.0.0 firmware, if you're using the pedal standalone and it's working fine but encountering connection issues when hooked up to your computer (just keeps spinning) or it's crashing outright, head to the Hotone website to download the latest USB Audio firmware and follow the update guide included in the zip file.
