This video looks at Mariana’s signal flow and outlines how you can think about gain staging throughout Mariana whether you’re looking for clean or heavily saturated tones.
First, we look at the Mixer section found on each of Mariana’s Synth layers – a mixer that brings together the oscillators, sub-oscillator, and noise and adds some saturation when the levels are set above 7. Next, we look at the summing mixer that brings together both Synth layers as well as the different saturation types you can apply to each layer. Finally, we take a quick look at the Compressor of Mariana, how it can be used to add punch to your sounds and squish their dynamic range.
