Today we're riding shotgun in the Soviet Tank, from Formula B pedals. The Soviet Tank fuzz is an unabashed recreation of the green bubble font version, the long-forgotten middle child of the Russian Muff family. The Soviet Tank comes out with guns blazing, with an enormous fuzz payload that will scare your amp into the red. Much like the original bubble font Muff, the Soviet Tank has been engineered to deliver a full range of articulation and dynamics that play well with your guitar's controls. The Soviet Tank possesses an enormous gain range, and between the Duty knob and your guitar's knobs, you can drum up anything from subtle crunchy overdrive to paint-peeling fuzz tones. In keeping with the Russian tradition, the Soviet Tank contains the exact elements that made the bubble font so desirable: mylar film caps in all positions, along with carbon film resistors and a full turret of transistors painstakingly matched to the specs of the originals. The stacking ability of the Soviet Tank is one of its biggest strengths. Surrounding the Tank with other gain pedals only strengthens the sound, and the Soviet Tank absolutely loves a low-gain overdrive. Stacking these two types of pedals outfits the Tank with an insane amount of firepower, mowing down any amp in its path. And just like all Formula B pedals, the Soviet Tank is outfitted with an arsenal of carefully-curated components and is hand-built in Italy.
