Andy Timmons plays the song “Welcome Home” from his most recent album Theme From a Perfect World through the new Fillmore 50 1x12 combo. Throughout this performance, Andy is playing through Ch. 2 in the HI Mode, using the volume control on the instrument to control dynamics between higher gain and sustaining sections and near clean and subtle clipped sounds. The Fillmore’s vintage-styled gain is incredibly responsive and ‘cleans up’ beautifully in higher gain modes with lower instrument volumes. With two identical channels, you can configure the Fillmore to deliver different gain levels of the same mode via the foot switch, OR… you can set up the Fillmore for a sparkling clean channel and a desired flavor overdrive or classic gain.
Recorded with Andy’ signature Ibanez AT-100 with DiMarzio Cruiser neck and middle pickups and a Dimarzio AT-1 bridge pickup, through his pedalboard and into the Fillmore 50 1x12 combo. Pedals used during this song were a Strymon Timeline Delay, Strymon Big Sky Reverb, Diamond Tremolo and a GNI Chorus. No other pedals were used during the performance. Mic’d with a Shure KSM 313 and a Shure SM57 and blended 50% each.
