Eric Schlappi from Schlappi Engineering, shared their advancing journey towards a complete system. Eric discussed their focus on 4-bit logic modules, mentioning the recent release of the Nibbler, a rhythmic pattern generator utilizing binary counting, and the BTMX, a logic combiner.
Eric also showed their next project, the BTFLD. This module functions primarily as an analog to digital converter but intricately doubles up as a wave folder and distortion unit.
Eric described how it could be used to create heavy wave folding effects and generate gates from LFOs by converting voltages to 4-bit outputs.
Utilizing other Schlappi Engineering creations like the Angle Grinder and Interstellar Radio, he demonstrated a range of sonic possibilities from stereo drones to harsh modulations.
