TRIPLE PLAY
In the last two columns, we learned how to build harmony guitar lines by stacking diatonic (scale-based) 3rd intervals above melody notes. To review, this technique involves taking each note of the melody and adding above it a note that’s the interval of a 3rd, or two scale degrees, as it occurs within a related scale. You can then add another note a 3rd above that one, to build three- part harmony.
