This Martin Custom Shop D-42K 'Highly Figured Koa' Acoustic is just stunning!
The Highly Figured Koa used to contract this instrument was selected by Frank during a trip out to the Martin Factory. We ordered a handful of these All Koa 42's in a variety of body styles. This Dreadnaught is made from some killer looking Curly Koa! We had them do a rather light Red Burst on the edges, much like you'd find on Taylor's all Koa instruments. On top of being one of the most beautiful guitars we have seen, thanks to top notch craftsmanship, this guitar could not play any better. The Performing Artist neck profile is the most comfortable neck Martin has ever put their name on so long hours of playing won't result in debilitating fatigue. Like most Koa guitars, this one has a brilliance to it that you just don't find with Rosewood. It's focused, bright tone will certainly cut through the mix.
