The 1668RT Jupiter was engineered for enough headroom to maintain its vintage warmth and character when bombarded with the most complex pedalboards. With a 6L6 loaded power section, the Jupiter combo is capable of running at a variety of wattages, from 35 in Class-A operation to 45/60 in Class-AB mode. Switching between these modes alternates the character of the tremolo circuit as well. In Class-A mode, the tremolo is a classic vintage Supro cathode bias trem, and switching to Class-AB yields a powerful undulating grid bias trem. The tube reverb circuit comes before the tremolo, allowing players to achieve a haunting pulsed reverb tail with both effects engaged. The Supro Jupiter is complimented by a HP12 speaker designed especially for the amp with a large magnet and hemp cone to keep its sweetness regardless of input signal. Like all Supro Amps, the Jupiter is wrapped with a custom rhino-blue Tolex and is engineered, designed and built in the USA.
