there's a lot of weird stuff that happens here but i just kinda went with it. a lot of moments where i truly didn't know what was going to happen next. for me this was an exercise in using this pedalboard in a new way. this board is built mostly around the @Old Blood Noise Endeavors signal blender and @deathbyaudio evil filter, and the point is definitely to use it with my hands. here's the thing:
keeley compressor pro
ehx pog2
ehx superego+
caroline somersault
old blood noise dark star
smallsound/bigsound mini
demedash t-120
strymon el capistan
old blood noise signal blender
|-- loop A: chase bliss blooper
|-- loop B: chase bliss mood + chase bliss/cooper generation loss
death by audio evil filter
line 6 echo park
neunaber immerse
as you can see, having the mood and blooper in separate loops gives me more control over those sounds, as well as ensuring that they'll never interact with each other. and the generation loss will only ever affect mood, which is fun. since the el capistan is in front of the signal blender, i can use the "clean" knob to control the volume of any loop i have in there separately from blooper or mood. basically at that point i have a 3-channel mixer for each loop. the evil filter comes after so i can filter the entire sound, and then the echo park and immerse get us some stereo vibes. the old blood noise expression slider to your left is controlling the cutoff frequency of the evil filter, and the one on the right is controlling the clock value on mood.
it's kinda complicated, but incredibly fun to play and i want to go deeper with it. thanks for watching this little experiment. there's some weird uncomfortable moments but some truly beautiful ones as well i think.
the guitar is a '81 fender telecaster deluxe and amps are a benson vincent and matchless clubman. no reverb or delay was added in post.
