One thing is for sure, building an extension or new building for a home recording studio is not too easy if you want to do it right. Some guys of course will tell me that this is 'no way' to do it but as its been operational since 1995 clearly they would be wrong.
So after the extension is completed (Pt1) you will be left with a very sorry mess to contend with that has to be fixed. In this video I show you many items that were purchased to upgrade the studio from where it already was. Things like the Studio RTA producer station recording desk from Thomann was just one example of additions - and it ultimately is a great improvement and fantastic value for the money. The Eventide H7600 is also included.
I also installed loads of other gear (some of which you won't really see until part 3 - the final video of the series, but make no mistake the additions overall cost extra thousands of £ (or $) to buy. It all improves the studio dramatically and even now it's not all over!
As I worked through the problems, more appeared (such as the Microsoft debacle) that literally cost even more to fix all because Microsoft cares less that your 3 year old computer (Xeon!) won't install Windows 11. But this second in the series look takes you through most but not all problems.
Equipment additions include: Studio RTA Producer Station, LD Systems HPA 6, T.Racks VM-100 Voltage Meter, Millenium MCT-20 Cable Tester, Rode Rodecaster Pro and more... but there is no universal audio gear in here. Ha there's no Scott Mckenna vlog here though.
The final video will show the entire completed studio, and importantly some of the things like network wiring, Wi-Fi setup, security and much more that others never really show you so watch for that.
Consider visiting the Evil Owl Studios YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/c/EvilOwlStudios and I would really appreciate a sub, thumbs up and ring the bell with that important 'ALL' option. BTW I don't send out many more than maybe one notice a week generally so no aggro with that issue. The Evil Owl Studios channel really needs some subs... help it get better than it already is - creating a new channel is hard without that appreciated help!
I have spent considerable time creating this video entirely at my own expense and completely without sponsoring - the ONLY way to make a truthful video!
PLEASE SUBSCRIBE, RING THE BELL, AND THUMBS UP -AND CHOOSE THE 'ALL' BUTTON (or you won't receive notifications about new reviews!) to give my channel a boost and thank you for watching - I hope the video is enjoyable.
