Using Kyser's Low-Tension and Partial Quick-Change Capos
In the second installment of the Capo Crusader series, Guitar World's Senior Music Editor, Jimmy Brown, explores Kyser’s series of Low-Tension and Partial Quick Change capos. He finds that these work best to produce produce a clean, buzz-free tone across all six strings of his Gibson SG Standard onstage, without the highly annoying and frustrating pitch sharpening that can occur sometimes when using a capo designed for an acoustic guitar. He demonstrates ways of using Kyser's Short-Cut and Drop-D capos for cool chord voicing opportunities.
