#explorerguitar #handbuilt #bigdguitars Here is a guitar I have wanted to build for years just never had time to get to this. I posted this over the holidays but it didn't get much love.

This is made from a slab of mango lumber. This wood is sooo beautiful, its just a tad unstable so I had to add a palmwood strip in here. Palmwood is a beast to work with. Its more of a grass than a piece of wood.

Both of these woods are from sustainable sources. Once the mango trees are done producing fruits they would let them rot after cutting them down. I was lucky to get this huge slab, this is from Hawaii!!!
