Few Woods are as beautiful as figured Koa. Harvested in Hawaii, this wood is becoming more rare and expensive on a daily basis. Tone-wise, it's similar to Mahogany with a dry, focused tone, perfect for singing along with. It has a touch more top end than a Mahogany guitar typically does. The neck is sports 1 and 7/8" nut width, a great feel for the fingerpicker. The neck has a soft V profile. This guitar was built using hide glue which allows it to resonate like crazy. It produces quite a bit of volume, even when finger picked. Not only is this guitar gorgeous but it plays perfectly and has a warm, sweet, chimey tone. Includes original hardshell case.
