Secrets of the Epiphone Valve Junior - Modifying, Troubleshooting & Tube Amp Repair

The Epiphone Valve Junior tube guitar amp has been a target for modding or circuit "hot rodding" since its inception. In this video, we'll go through an already modded, non-functioning Valve Junior Combo and see what mods were done before us, and then we'll modify it differently in the hopes of getting a nice blues tone out of it. First we'll troubleshoot it and see what's working and what's not working. At the end of the video, we'll demo the tone with my Big D Bourbon Barrel Telecaster. Because they are cheap, these amps are a good place to start cutting your teeth on electronics.
