http://www.guitarBreakdown.com/ - Oh the good old 80's Hair bands ... how we miss them so! Dann Huff and his band Giant did belong to that group of decade defining bands ... however ... they were a step above most bands from that time period ... due to the fact that Dann Huff was one of the most in demand Session Guitar Players at that time. Dann Huff was a first call session guy and recorded thousands of tracks along with guys like Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, Larry Carlton, Dean Parks in the heyday of the 80's. If you are not familiar with his music ... slap yourself in the face and google him ... you won't be sorry you did (well, you might be sorry you slapped yourself ... we don't condone violence).

We are back with and another quick Dann Huff Lesson. This time we will BreakDown an awesome solo from his band Giant ... the tune called Can't Get Close Enough. This guitar solo is an excellent example of mixing melodic note choices with a terrifyingly fast Pentatonic Lick. Dann is extremely well known for his touch and tone and for some of the most amazing fast tasty licks but most importantly ... he is known for playing the write parts at all times. He truly is one of the elite masters of guitar.

This is a two part Guitar Lesson. We walk thru it all pretty quickly ... but take your time with it (especially the fast lick) and before you know it you will have another cool Lick / concept under your improv belt.
