An integral element of his gargantuan guitar tone, his heavily-stomped Ibanez TS-808 was passed down to Cesar Diaz—the world-renowned guitar and amp tech who worked w/ SRV—after SRV retired this model and moved on to the TS-9 and eventually the TS-10 Classic.
