This is the Korg SDD-3000, a new, improved pedal version of the beloved '80's rack delay made famous by The Edge on U2's early records. Korg recreated this classic delay with help from The Edge's guitar tech, Dallas Schoo, and it features all the tone and functionality of the original, but with additional features for the modern player. Along with the original delay tones of the vintage rack unit, the SDD-3000 pedal offers up to 4000 ms of analog, tape, modern, kosmic, reverse, pitch, and panning delays, along with five different waveforms for enhancing these sounds with lush, spacious modulation. Further sculpting of repeats is available with a bank of selectable tone filters. One of the best parts of the new Korg SDD-3000 is its faithful recreation of the original rack unit's gorgeous analog preamp section, often used by The Edge just for its rich, detailed tone. When Analog Bypass mode is selected, the guitar signal runs through this preamp even when the delay is bypassed. Players who prefer an unaffected signal can select True Bypass mode. The Korg SDD-3000 also includes Seamless Bypass for trails, stereo input and output with level and attenuation controls, multi-tap delay functions, 80 storable programs, tap tempo, sync mode, and full MIDI and expression pedal control, making it one of the most toneful, feature-rich delay units available today.
