Harmony Guitars are back but these are far from the student models of the 1950s. These are REAL guitars that will last a lifetime. The Harmony Jupiter Flame Maple in Transparent Black offers a comfortable body but thanks to a pair of Goldfoil Humbucker pickups, it is NOT small on tone!
How is a guitar being made in the USA for this kind of money? The folks at Harmony are picking high-quality tonewoods, investing in quality hardware, and building like they have something to prove. And they do! That these AREN'T like the old Harmony Guitars but are far better than anything bearing the name before them.
The recipe for the Jupiter begins with Mahogany. This is a revered tonewood mostly used by Gibson on Juniors, Specials, SGs, and as the backs of the Les Paul. This is a time-tested, player-approved Wood Cocktail that is rich with body, sustain, and resonance. The neck is made from Maple and then topped with an Ebony Fingerboard. It is carved to a full C shaped profile, has a 12" fingerboard radius, and has 22 medium jumbo frets installed in it.
A Pair of Goldfoil Humbucker Pickups make this one inspiring guitar to play when plugged in. They have 3 distinct sounds, all musical, all usable, and very easy to find what you are looking for. They are bright, with an open sounding top-end but they can dirty up an amp very well when needed! A Fat and Fuzzy Neck Pickup is balanced out beautifully by a bridge pickup that snarls and bites. They respond very well to the player's touch and volume and tone changes. A 3-way toggle switches through the pickups and the master volume and tone controls make finding your sound easy-peasy.
