Guitar Player Magazine hosted its seventh annual Guitar Player Superstar competition, with emcee Larry Carlton and a judging panel of Muriel Anderson, Carl Verheyen, and Reeves Gabrels. The winner was Mark Kroos, who played in an innovative two-handed percussive style on a double-neck Ovation.
