George Lowden shares some of the story behind "Genesis," Lowden Guitars number 20,000. "Shortly after we celebrated our 40th anniversary, we realised that we would soon be reaching guitar number twenty thousand. To celebrate reaching this milestone I wanted to do something really special. I have called the guitar 'Genesis' for the beginning of things, because for number twenty thousand I wanted to go back to the beginning of things for us as Lowden Guitars. I commissioned an inlay to represent the six days of creation from the Genesis story, from the big bang through to the creation of man and woman. It is like nothing I have ever seen before in inlay work. For the tone woods I have selected the very best from our wood stocks for my favourite combination, master grade African Blackwood and Sinker Redwood. Over the course of this eighteen month project the whole team has collaborated together and spared no effort to make this guitar the very best of what we can do."
