I have a 2x12 cabinet with 2 8 ohm speakers and wanted to test how it would sound in parallel compared to the series wiring it came with. I'm using a parts Telemaster with GFS premium alnico pickups, an Axe-Fx II with a Bandmaster Reverb preset, into a custom Fender combo cabinet converted into a 2x12.
