Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Today we'd like to introduce you to a wide range of affordable, yet rugged effects and power supplies from Caline (kay-leen). We all know two key ingredients for any pedalboard are the power supply and tuner, well Caline has had the brilliant idea to morph these two crucial item into one convenient, space saving pedal. The CP-09 Tuner Power offers accurate chromatic tuning for guitar and bass while simultaneously powering up to 8 effects pedals. The Tuner Power comes with everything you need including hookup cables and a 18V adapter as its main source of power. 6 isolated 100mA outputs can be used for the majority of pedals on the market, including drives, modulation and delay but you can also take advantage of 2 high current 500mA outputs to use on various loopers, pitch effects and more power hungry digital effects. The Caline Tuner Power uses a bright 4 color LED display to make tuning easy on a dark stage and features noiseless relay switching. The Tuner Power is considered a dual mode pedal but power is never interrupted, even while you tune up. Other features include the traditional output mute while the tuning mode is engaged and short circuit protection.
The CP-19 Blue Ocean is an analog-voiced digital delay with a warm filter for realistic analog sounds and atmospheric repeats. The delay range of 25-600ms is able to handle anything from classic slapback echo, to rhythmic dotted eight delays to long, self oscillating waves.
The CP-27 Sand Storm brings big, burly British tones straight to your pedalboard, featuring a meaty crunch courtesy of a standard three-knob dirt box with an added presence control for jumping out of the mix. Low distortion settings crossover into overdrive territory with a thicker low end while high gain settings provide extra singing compression.
The CP-26 Snake Bite Reverb utilizes a six knob control interface for more control over the character and filtering of the reverberation. The Snake Bite features controls for Resonance, to excite the upper frequencies, Center Frequency Range to voice the pedal, Low-Pass Filter to cut high end, Pre-Delay for changing the attack and reflection time, Wet/Dry Mix and a healthy dose of Decay for near infinite spaces.. The Snake Bite is also wired to let the reverb tails continue naturally after you bypass the pedal.
The CP-18 Orange Burst delivers medium gain Marshall tones with a flexible preamp circuit. The pedal utilizes a generous two-band equalizer circuit for matching it to any guitar and amp combination as well as drastic tone shaping. The open, uncompressed sounds of the Orange Burst lets you retain your picking dynamics plus, it's wired for true bypass.
The CP-30 Red Devil is for those high-gain players out there. Inside the Red Devil is a powerful three-band EQ circuit with loads of tube style gain and low end on tap. A Vintage/Modern switch takes the Red Devil from old-school '80s thrash and hard rock to modern forms of metal.
The CP-24 is Caline's switchable 10 band EQ. Made for players seeking ultimate tonal control, the10-band EQ featured 11 illuminated smooth-feeling sliders for a crazy amount of precise control in a relatively small package. In addition to the 10 EQ Bands which allow mid scooping, high end sparkle or tightening up the bass, the Gain control allows you to fine tune the overall signal strength as well as exaggerate certain frequencies to get cocked wah or lead boosts without the use of a drive pedal.
If you'd rather have a standalone power supply, or you already have a tuner, the standard Caline CP-05 power supply adds two more taps for a total of 10. The standard Caline power features seven 100mA nine-volt taps, one high-current 500mA nine-volt tap, one 100mA 12-volt tap and one 100mA 18-volt tap for higher headroom applications. You'll also notice a row of bright blue LEDs on the front which can be switched on to light your pedalboard but they also serve many functions. All 10 power channels have independent short circuit/ over current protection. When a pedal is drawing too much current, the LED will flash, indicating your pedal is requiring more and should be perhaps connected to the high current tap. The individual smart status LEDs will also turn off if a short circuit occurs. However, the good news is the other independent channels will remain protected, allowing you to quickly determine which effect needs help.
