Perfect for blues, classic rock, metal and everything in between, the SG is a total workhorse and most definitely one of Gibson's most iconic and cherished guitars. Let's face it, if Angus Young, Frank Zappa and Tony Iommi all favoured the same guitar, then it must be a pretty mighty axe indeed!

Sporting a rosewood fretboard with a slim taper neck for easy riffing and soloing, the Standard SG feels great to play. It's light and sounds fantastic thanks to a pair of 490 pickups (a 490R in the neck & 490T in the bridge). These have a vintage output and take to overdrive exceptionally well, so great news for all you AC/DC fans! Unbelievably versatile and available at a great price, we see the Standard SG as a serious bargain. By adding a few tweaks to a timeless model, Gibson have done themselves proud with this beauty and we've been seriously impressed by how the SG Standard 2019 looks, sounds and plays.
