Many guitarists just 'don't get it' about Class A Amps or even what they are. This inside and out review of the THD Univalve also tries to offer some reasons why you NEED a Class A amplifier and the differences.
This is part ONE - and Part TWO being uploaded next reviews a Palmer 'Drei' (or 3 to non Germans) that is also a class A amplifier for guitar but has many hidden technical reasons why this amp is one 'hell of an amp' that you should check out.
The final video in the series (Video THREE) about Class A amps will include a 'shoot out' between the THD Univalve and the Palmer Drei amplifier and also offer some other class A low cost (and maybe not so low cost) amps for consideration that you might not have thought worth checking out.
If you are not a total metal head (but I still like metal) and want something with class (literally) then check out this series of videos... these are reviews... and these reviews examine these amps in ways that others simply do not. Not to be missed!
There is playing on all three videos in the series. Be aware that these can be long videos because of all that content but as you will see, Class A amps are often wonderful tone amps and CAN be driven very hard without that massive volume typical of class A/B amps. A great reason to check them.
