I have recently been reading a lot about cables and how important cables can be to your tone and I think it makes some sense. If I'm willing to spend money on a nice guitar, amp, effects, and other stuff then why not invest a little in the cables that connect it all? I previously had a bunch of patch cables that I paid like $7 for and they didn't seem to be very nice. I bought a pack of Planet Waves cables:

They seem super high quality and I'm really impressed. I play a little with my old cables, then straight in to Guitar Rig, then with the new cables. What do you think? Was it worth it?
