Item Details:
These guitars were produced in very limited quantities from 1964 to 1971. This 1969 model features a Cherry Red finish, an ES-335 thinline maple body ( 16" wide ), white binding, patent number ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles and a set of Gibson patent sticker humbucker pickups. The only non-original parts on this guitar are the repro truss rod cover, the frets and the strap buttons. Notable features include the diamond shapped soundholes, trapeze tailpiece with raised diamond and model name on wooden insert, bound ebony fingerboard with slashed diamond inlays, 6 on a side tuner configuration, Gibson "Boob" logo pickguard and Gibson decal peghead logo. Serial number # 390310.
Overall Condition:
This 1969 Gibson Trini Lopez is in very good condition. The body is fairly clean with the exception of a missing piece of finish on the back and some play wear on the back of the neck. The Gibson "Boob" pickguard's logo has worn off almost entirely. You can see all of the significant wear in our photos. There is some slight headstock rash from the case over the years, a minor amount of finish checking and a few lighter finish scratches. This guitar has been refretted and the frets are in excellent condition.
This is a rare axe that is still ready to rock hard! You don't see many of these unique beauties and this one is in rare form. Trini Lopez!
