The PDO and TBVCA is a commonly used combination here at WMD, to the point where we just reference it as a "simple PDO voice". We recognize that a lot of people may have no idea what this means or what phase displacement, or modulation is in general so we decided to explain it a bit and give some examples of how to make a cool voice using this technique.

In this video, Alex goes over making the "simple PDO voice" which entails using the TBVCA to create harmodics using cascading phase modulation. he then takes the patch a bit deeper with some timed feedback techniques to create some cool percussive sounds on top of a nice bassline.
