I got these clips from Mark Olson, maaolson@mtu.edu. he wrote:
Phenomenal pedal! In the first clip, the pedal is off to start and then on. Signal chain involves Warmoth Shortscale P-Bass with Seymour Duncan SPB-1 pickup, Rotosound SM66 strings into Analogman Astro Tone Fuzz (Volume - 1:30, Fuzz - 3:00, Tone - 12:00) into an Orange Terror Bass with Ported 1x12" w/ Eminence Delta 12LFA speaker recorded with a Shure SM57 mic and M Box Mini with Audacity (Freeware). No effects in post, no fancy tricks or anything, Just the sound off a plain 57. Really surprised how well this works out on bass, it holds my low end, doesn't carve up or alter my tone in any negative way, has a really pleasant character; to me it gives me a sort of similar feeling to playing my bass through a cranked up JTM amplifier, but there's some good fuzz character available as well. Works great with a pick, finger-style, or Larry Graham-style. Very responsive! Thanks for making such a great piece!
The second clip features the Astro Tone on the entire time, cleaned up with the volume knob at first, and then I roll up the volume for a ripping fuzz along with an MXR Micro Flanger and my Strymon Flint reverb. Using a Seymour Duncan Vintage Jazz Bass bridge pickup for this clip. Sounds nice and fat with the Astro Tone! Your pedal does nothing short of inspire. Keep up the good work!
