Welcome back to ProGuitarShop and ToneReport.com. Today we’re touching down with the F.13 Neo from Alexander Pedals. The F.13 Neo was engineered with the goal of cramming as many flanger sounds as possible into a compact enclosure. The Neo version of the F.13 features a greatly expanded feature set, centered on a pushbutton mode switch that cycles between four settings instead of the previous three. The F.13 Neo contains four dedicated knobs, but adds three Alt knobs you can access by holding down the select switch, for a total of seven adjustable parameters. Auto mode gives you a traditional flanger sound, with an extra Delay Time control for manual shifting or wet chorus-flange tones. Step mode offers up a selection of stepped waveforms for some alien artifacts and sequenced rhythms. Dyna mode fuses the F.13 Neo’s delay time control to the input level, for vintage pick-sensitive flange warping. Echo mode couples the flanging with 600ms of available delay, with the ALT knobs giving you command over the delay and feedback. The new Multijack from the Neo Series can be configured to allow an expression pedal, footswitch or even MIDI control, and you can use the expression setting to morph between two knob configurations on the fly without having to bend over. 16 user presets can be easily entered and recalled by holding the bypass footswitch for seamless switching. And just like all Alexander Pedals, the F.13 Neo is made right here in the States, by people doing good.
