J.Paasonen Eclise Fuzz is a fine tuned version Dallas Arbiter’s Fuzz Face. Even though it’s the most copied and variated Fuzz schematic, it’s usually what come’s in mind when talking about this subject. This time BC407B transistor was chosen to make it sound and look “right”. Gain wise 407B is something like medium roast and main goal was to create a tight pedal that has enough Sustain without getting too saturated. Another goal was to avoid certain harshness that is usually present when playing with Silicon Fuzz pedals.
As an addition there is a new control switch at the front panel named SHH! Now You can gently control the amount of treble bite that you prefer. Sound wise inspiration was Gilmourish like sounds that were recorded at the Dark Side of the Moon. Full spectrum of distorted Fuzz sound.
