TIWILU is an OBNE AV assignment with the intention of highlighting the Operator's favorite components of a particular effects unit by challenging them to create a piece of music focused around their favorite modes and sounds. They are also charged to capture moving images which are then edited together to compliment the piece of music by different OBNE AV Operator.
Here we have Dan Pechacek, the in-house software engineer at OBNE who's vessel holds the brain that created the the Visitor Circuit.
"Trying to explore the Visitor in full is difficult: I believe it is full of moments of discovery.
When asked my favorite settings, I often go to a different sound than the last time. There’s
simply a lot to unpack, and if, for example, I go in thinking, “I want a tremolo and phaser running alongside each other,” often the idea in my head sounds different from what Visitor creates. To me, that’s the joy of it: aim for one thing, then tinker until you’ve found something equally inspirational, if wholly different from what you imagined. "
