While performing at the iconic Forum in LA, Mike was holding his vintage Gibson SG Junior - the guitar he wrote the single to "runnin' Down A dream" on, and trying to play it cool as Bob addressed the audience. But suddenly, disaster struck—his guitar strap came loose, and the precious SG Junior took a hard fall, crashing to the stage with a deafening "blam!" The impact was so intense that it broke the neck of the beloved guitar, leaving Mike horrified and Bob Dylan turning around mid-speech, who had some very choice words to say to Mike!
