Last year, Synergy Amps and Steve Vai ruffled some feathers when they announced that not only had Steve begun using the Synergy system for the bulk of his amplification needs but they were also collaborating on a signature preamp module.
Many were quick to call this a death nell for Carvin and the Legacy series of amps...even though Steve was still using his Legacy Drive preamp.
So, the Synergy Steve Vai Signature Preamp is here now and one has to wonder if it's BETTER, WORSE, or THE SAME AS THE LEGACY...well let's at least get a taste of it.
