First of all... what's up with my hair? I've got this weird little alf-alfa (I just showed my age) spikey thing going on. Must'a been a bit of the bed head I guess. Anyway, someone somewhere asked me to do a video about how tone changes depending on what type of pick or thickness of pick one uses, or even whether one chooses to use a pick at all. Sorry I couldn't find the username... hopefully you'll see this an comment below that it was you :) (UPDATE: found it! So in this video I'm playing through a bunch of different types of picks and then I go... pickless.... as well. Hopefully this video translates the different sounds... but if it doesn't then I guess you get to hear me play some cliche'd bluesey country licks for 10 minutes.
Speaking of not liking videos... I always notice that there is one guy that thumbs down every video. To that person I have to ask... why do you keep watching? I mean, if you don't like the video, isn't it easier to just click on something else? I don't understand it. The only time I've went out of my way to press "thumbs down" is when it was... uh... hmmm... hell, I don't even recall ever doing that. If I don't like a video I simply... click...something....else. How about this: If you thumbs down the video, at least send me an email to brian@wamplerpedals.com and say "hey, I'm the guy that thumb'd down your video and here's why". That way, 1. you're not anonymous - you're a real person and we can have a dialog and part as friends. 2. commenting something negative anonymously is just stupid, m'kay? It doesn't help anyone, I don't take you seriously, and as a result the videos don't get better. And at the end of the day, I'm only doing these videos for you guys (and gals). I mean, they're fun to do but I'm really really really trying to bring subjects to you guys that you may like, that may entertain you, or help you in some way.
So with that said, comment below with any video ideas. Thanks much to the person that suggested this topic :)
