Welcome back to Friends Pick Friday, and today we have Curtis Moore in the shop! Curtis is a dear friend of ours, a man with great stories, style, and has a certain way with words that we just love - and he also happens to be a great performer! There is no way we could possibly unpack enough about Curtis in such a short video, but he always livens up a room and we hope you all will go check out one of his performances if you get the chance. He does perform solo as well as with his band 'Curtis Moore & The Honest Crooks', mixing in original tunes with heartfelt covers in his own style, and it is always a great time.
Today we have Curtis playing a couple of originals on two excellent yet very different acoustic guitars from old-world Gibson: a 1968 J-200N and a Hawaiian slide-style 1939 HG-00 that has been converted to spanish-style! Two awesome old Gibsons that look awesome, sound great, and have their own unique feel while being played thanks to the very different neck and fretboards of each.
Keep up with Curtis at: https://www.facebook.com/CurtisMooreandtheHonestCrooks/
