Today on PedalsAndEffects we have a very special pedal review! We’re proud to showcase the reissue of the highly coveted DOD Meatbox Subharmonic Synthesizer/octave pedal. The original issue of this effect has had mostly downs but that was then and this is now. Today, all musicians know the value of bass and there is no better way to slam the PA system at a festival then plugging in a sub harmonic synthesizer pedal!
Note: It is actually a Mitsubishi chip, we mistakenly say Samsung chip. Digitech managed to uncover 3000 of the Mitsubishi chips that make up the heart of the original pedal. There was a bit of a back and forth about what type of chip it was. Tom from DOD had said that it was a Samsung chip, but the guys at Mantic Conceptual stated that it was actually a Mitsubishi chip. I relayed that back to the guys at DOD and they managed to open up a reissue Meatbox and it was indeed a Mitsubishi chip that appears in the original release. We mistakenly say it’s a Samsung chip in the video but it is indeed a Mitsubishi chip!
This video was shot by Lukas Hodge and edited by Scott Ward for Vato Negro Productions.
