Sub-£100 vintage eBay gear in action

For most mortals, the opportunity to own a piece of truly iconic vintage gear from one of the major brands - a pre-CBS Strat, say, or a 50s Gibson - is as irretrievably distant as the decades those guitars were built in. Nonetheless, surely some determined
sifting through eBay can still yield an affordable, er, classic or two? How hard can it be?
Armed with a budget of £100 each, we sent three members of the team away to see if there are any vintage gear bargains left on eBay. All three clicked, browsed and bid their way through thousands of listings before pouncing on some rusty, dusty 'bargains' that each felt might offer maximum tone for a ton.
Here's what they ended up with:
Melos EM-110 Echo Chamber
Triumph Leo 5-watt valve combo
Cameo Deluxe electric guitar
Hear all three vintage curios in action in this video. Other than drums and percussion, all the sounds you can hear, including bass and backing vocals, were recorded through the Melos and Leo, with the Cameo the sole guitar throughout.
