Our incomparable amp tech Brian Carstens is not only adept at repairing amps of all kinds, but at designing & handcrafting them from start to finish. Brian and Jeff show off his 1x12 combo, The Blue Sky, with the help of a Whitfill T-52 and a Collings City Limits.
Inspired by a late ‘50s combo that had a fascinating way of becoming overdriven, the Blue Sky combo melds clear, chimey cleans with the fuzzy break-up associated with classic vintage amps. Extremely simple without sacrificing versatility, the Carstens Amplification Blue Sky is a must-play.
