You just heard the Muffuletta from JHS Pedals. The Muffuletta is a six-course Muff banquet, offering up a sextet of classic Muff settings. The six modes span the entire history of the Muff, from the low-end monster Triangle Muff to the 2015 JHS modified Muff and everything in between. The Muffuletta's switching system is more than a simple capacitor or transistor switch. It's an advanced microprocessor controlled switching matrix that literally changes the entire analog circuit with a flick of the dial.
The 6 available circuits are: The Civil War - a brighter Muff from the 90's with more mids and less fuzzy gain, Russian - a tighter low end with a unique mid character and warmer top end enjoyed by Dan Auerbach, The Pi - An aggressive tone with more compression and gain favored by Jack White & Billy Corgan, The Triangle - The very 1st version of Big Muff, known for a more articulate sound with fat low end and famous violin like sustain, '73 Ram's Head - Scooped Midrange, lower gain and a warmer sound make this a favorite of Mr. Gilmour and finally a modified 2015 JHS version that has been tuned to be more powerful, less compressed and able to work with bass guitar without getting buried in the mix.
The Tone control has been lifted from the JHS shop's personal green Russian Muff, because JHS found it had a sweeter, linear sweep, so this Tone control has been imparted onto all versions for maximum sweep usability. Like all JHS Pedals, the Muffuletta is made one at a time in Missouri USA using a splendid array of top-flight components.
