It's time we talked about how poorly designed 3PDT switches, the kind used in most currently built true bypass guitar pedals, really are. In this video you'll see why the basic design of this switch could use a re-think. The guitar pedal in this video suffered a failure. We'll take this opportunity to discuss why the switch was badly designed from the factory and whether pedal builders should continue to use these in their pedals without modification or reinforcement.
