Marshall MG30CFX Combo Amp
What we say:
Without doubt, Marshall are the most famous name in guitar amplification. That cursive logo with the accompanying gold and black livery is a readily familiar and comfortable sight for guitarists in every single country of the world. Iconic doesn’t begin to describe the amp name that has been behind more legendary players than any other brand, from 1960 until today. Marshall defines the ‘British’ sound and every player knows exactly what you mean when you say ‘Marshall crunch’: it’s one of life’s most glorious sounds!
The MG range are carbon fibre looking solid state amps with multiple channels, digital FX and excellent pricing. For players on a budget who still want that classic logo behind them as they rock out, the Marshall MG range is a very valid option.
This model is the 30w version and has one 10"speaker within its chassis. There are four channels to play with here, all delivering progressively filthier shades of that classic Marshall roar. These can be liberally sprinkled with digital FX that include delay, chorus and reverb to sweeten the flavour for you. This MG gives a lot of bang for the buck!

Gibson Les Paul Standard 2018 Heritage Cherry Sunburst #180032488
What we say:
Gibson's most iconic guitar is treated to a range of upgrades this year that preserve the classic beauty of the model and make it one heck of a player's guitar! Is this the best production Les Paul Standard yet?
Starting, as we normally do with the woods, this 2018 LP has ultra weight-relieved Mahogany for the body, capped with no less than AAA grade figured maple for a top that really pops! These are the kinds of tops you normally have to go to the Custom Shop for! A Mahogany neck is customary too and this one has not only an asymmetric taper for playing comfort right up the neck, it also sports a rosewood fingerboard with a compound radius to provide you with an uncompromising playing experience everywhere, on every fret. Locking tuners complete the features for the neck.
A pair of Burstbucker Pro pickups supply this guitar with a hotter than PAF output but a tonality that's vintage Gibson all the way! That's not all: each of the four control knobs double up with extra functions via a push/pull: you get a coil tap for each pickup (for skinnier, P90-ish tones), a phase reverse for all of your Peter Green moments and a 'Pure Bypass' which wires the pickups straight to the guitar's output (passing by the tone controls) for an altogether hotter signal. These are all useful additions rather than pointless gimmicks and we applaud Gibson for adding these player-friendly features.
These beautiful guitars (this one is in the most iconic finish of all: Heritage Cherry Sunburst) play and sound like Les Pauls should! And fear not: the circular plastic pickup selector ring is included inside the case! Lots of people have been concerned about that from seeing photos but its a simple matter to fit it on for that classic look! Treat yourself to one of the greatest Les Paul Standard models that Gibson have ever offered.
