This is the Ashdown Studio Compressor. An 18 volt, simple tone sweetener with classic controls.

Designed here at Ashdown by our chief engineer, Dave Green, to be an expansion of traditional bass compression.

Taking the fundamentals of that classic squashed tone, and adding more modern sensibilities. The Studio Compressor is subtle and nuanced. It can sweeten your front end like a boost, add a little extra grit like a transparent drive, and even out your playing by levelling off over boomy low end and plucky high end.

Part of our Pro-FX series, the Studio compressor is, in our opinion, a tone colouring tool that no bass player should be without.
