Here is an example of the SFT doing a 70's Stones clean yet dirty sound. You will notice that increasing the TREBLE while keeping the Bass at Noon results in an aggressive attack in the midrange and treble, which gives it that clean/dirty bite. This tone is elusive and in the scheme of things taken for granted by EVERY bar band who has played this tune the past 30 some years. A real shame because it is a unique tone with a very satisfying play feel.
